SCHOOL UNIFORMS
Children in South African schools are generally required to wear some kind of schools uniform. This
uniform normally incorporates the school colours and school crest. Schools often also have a sports
uniform which must be worn when the school is represented on the sports field. A school may also have a
summer uniform and a winter uniform.
EXTRAMURAL ACTIVITIES
Schools in South Africa offer a wide choice of extra-mural activities; these include music
sport, charity work, art and theatre. The advantage is that most of these activities
take place on the school grounds after school hours.
